Just wrote these today. Gotta do something with all these emotions. :)
#1
Unsure of myself, I
Never said I was special.
Did you think I was lying?
Even I can
Recognize a failure.
Things should be different, but they aren't.
Help is so far that
Even if it reached me, I would be long gone.
Simply try to
Kill me if
You want to help me.
So sick and tired of this internal battle
Oppressed inside myself.
Beat me until I breath no more,
Lying cold on the steps,
Under the
Ever-so scrutinizing gaze of the people.
#2
Unnoticed, I sit in the corner,
Never
Daring to look up.
Even to meet your eyes would
Reveal all my thoughts to you.
Time stops as I
Hear you heading toward me,
Every foostep echoing.
Stiffening at some sudden
Knowledge, I can't breathe as
You stop in front of me.
Shaking imperceivably, I
Open my mouth to utter some lie.
Blushing, I find that nothing escapes my
Lips. I sit there awkwardly, but you seem to
Understand.
Reaching for my hand, you lead me into bliss.
#3
Your gentle smile, like the spring wind
Softly easing the toiling traveler's troubles
Causing him to pause and wonder at its cheering influence.
(I love you. I still love you.)
Your simple blush, like the rising sun
Coming slowly at first and then emerging in its full glory
Warming all those within its glimpse.
(I love you. I still love you.)
Your angelic eyes, like the angels' grace
One glimpse is remembered forever
And convinces the viewer of your perfection.
(I love you. I still love you.)
Your silent tears, like the inspiration of martyrs
Giving those around you courage to defend you,
And to declare the unspoken.
"I love you. I still love you."
#4
Your eyes could be coals
To ignite the imagination of a painter
Into making a portrait of Aphrodite--
But, she wouldn't come close to you.
Your heart could be broken
So easily and yet be
So difficult to repair--
A definite sign of value.
Your lips look lonely
But to join them is
Not a risk I am willing to take--
Please, forgive me.
Your smile is empty
I wish I could fill it up
By spreading the joy I get from being with you--
It would definitely be enough.
Your hand dangles unheld
And I can't help but offer
To take it in mine, just for a moment--
In the hopes of making that moment last forever.
My heart was broken
And my smile was empty
And my hand unheld--
Until I met you.
